Silence.

Silence. (2024—ongoing) is a lens-based body of work depicting the landscape of Cape Cod. The barely decipherable infinite expanse of the landscape expressed within this series requires time and deep investigation. Through this body of work, and my philosophy surrounding image making, I hope to call forth the feminine perspective, the divine, the eternal — the embodied landscape. Through long exposures, I create unique ephemeral 2 x 2 inch silver gelatin paper negatives that I subsequently scan once and invert in Photoshop. The positive image yields a unique color based on the properties of the photo papers I use — both current and expired. Essentially, the ephemeral paper negative is a lens-based lumen print.
